# Restaurant Supply

The restaurant world you walk into when you go out to eat at your favorite place is nothing like the world your server is experiencing. While you wait to place your drink order, your server could be running throughout the entire restaurant striving to complete a task for a customer. If you notice your server has acquired several more tables than your own, don’t feel thrown under the table (a relevant rewording of a timeless metaphor)!

Communication is key to a restaurant’s survival. Managers need to know when servers need help; kitchen staff may need clarification on an order; prep people need to know when the salad bar needs refilling; the dish guy needs to know when more glasses are needed up front.

At the peak of rush hour, a restaurant’s employees are like wild animals super concerned with the task they’re assigned to: serving, cooking, prepping or managing. Of course they appear placid at your table; that’s their job! While the server takes your order maybe the manager is checking and organizing food as it comes out of the kitchen. You can guarantee the cooks are sweating, and the dish guy is probably wishing for a break.

But in all that rush everyone can forget what makes a restaurant possible. Just as important as cooks, servers and managers is the restaurant equipment used to maintain, prepare and serve food! Commercial refrigeration products are key to keeping food fresh and ready for cooking or serving. Choosing the commercial refrigeration product right for your restaurant can be challenging; there are many brands, and there are many different types of commercial refrigeration.

What’s really important in a restaurant? The restaurant supply superstore you buy your equipment from. High quality restaurant equipment can be hard to come by; your local super stores don’t know about commercial deep fryers or toasters. That counts out Wal-Mart, your local mall and basically every other nearby outlet you hoped to visit.

So where do you turn for quality supplies that won’t let you down? Turn to a restaurant supply store that will have everything you need!

Don’t pick an ordinary appliance that will suck the life out of your restaurant; choose equipment that will serve you better in the long run by choosing Energy Star certified equipment. Also, don’t forget to choose equipment with a NSF certification. Without an NSF certification, a health inspector will make down a violation for every non-certified piece of equipment.

I know you already knew that.

Another factor to consider when choosing a restaurant supply store is customer service. A return customer not only does a favor for the restaurant supply; a professional relationship with your restaurant supply store should be noticeably beneficial. At KaTom our customer service team will know you and your enterprise by name and will offer personal help finding the equipment you need!

I write for you!
